Three volunteers were administered the vaccine on the same day. On 25 July 2020 the first part of the phase-I got completed which involved administering the vaccine to around 50 people. For the second part of phase-I, about six people were given the vaccine.

Results of the first part of phase-I seem to be encouraging and have shown no side effects, as reported by the Principal Investigator- Dr. Savita Verma.

The priority in phase-I shall be the safety of the vaccine, i.e. to be completely sure that the vaccine does not have any side effects or is harmful to the health. It is also important to calculate the dosage which is being administered to each individual.

For phase-II of human trials, around 750 people shall be administered the vaccine from 12 locations in the country. People who are being given the vaccine age from 12-65 years. Around 3500 people have registered for the trials of this vaccine.
