How did you apply and secure an internship?
-I applied directly to an associate partner. That was before the appointment of a new HR. Now all the internship applications are processed by the HR.

Main tasks
-Interning in the disputes team I was given a lot of research pertaining to the IBC and the companies act. Drafting assignments included drafting of affidavits, appeals and cross appeals, and often to proof documents and application. I also got the opportunity to accompany associates to hearings before the NCLT and the High Court where I had to take down notes and assist with the sorting of documents and files.
Work Environment
-The firm has strict departmentalisation with respect to the team you’re assigned to. People are co-operative and willing to lend a helping hand given you show your eagerness to learn and work..
There will always be some work assigned to you to ensure you don’t sit idle, however the deadlines are reasonable. You’ll often be asked to redo an assignment if it’s not up to the mark, which encourages the interns to come forward with doubts.
Breaks
-The interns get to take a 30-40 minutes lunch break.
Court Visits
-In the disputes team the interns are often asked to accompany the associates to hearings before the NCLT and the High Court.
Stipend

Things that could be improved
-The sitting arrangement for the interns has a scope of improvement.
Accommodation
-Accommodation in Mumbai is the trickiest part. One can get a pg in marine lines or Fort itself, but with a double or triple occupancy.
