Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, Ahmedabad. L&S was founded in the year 1985 by V. Lakshmikumaran and V. Sridharan in Delhi. The firm has 14 branches all over India.
- What was the duration of Internship and daily timings?
9:30 am- 7:00 pm. Weekends off.
- How did you apply and secure an internship?
One can apply through the portal of the firm- https://www.lakshmisri.com/. Fill out the application form wherein you have to give details of academics, moots, previous internships, publications and answer other relevant questions. If you are selected, the same shall be communicated via mail.
- What are the core areas of law the firm/organisation practices?
The firm is a full-service law firm practicing in all the major areas of law including Taxation, IPR, Insolvency, Arbitration, M&A, amongst others.
- What were the main tasks assigned to you?
I was in the Indirect Tax team and specifically under Litigation and Advisory. I was majorly allotted research work by the team with respect either on-going matters or specific sections. I was provided with TMI credentials to research on the subject.
- How comfortable did you find the work environment?
The firm takes efforts in connecting with the interns even during this virtual mode. The mentor assigned to me was extremely polite and friendly. She was available throughout my two month internship tenure and cleared doubts whenever asked.
- Were there any specific breaks given? If yes, what were the timings?
Since it was a virtual internship, breaks were not specifically timed.
- Did you attend any Courts?
No.
- What were the perks? Was a stipend provided. If yes, how much?
No.
- Were there any things that could be improved?
It was a very fruitful learning experience and nothing in my opinion needs improvement.
