Resumption of Physical Court Hearings?

On 22nd July 2020, the Chief Justice of India, SA Bobde, commented that a 7-judge council will be thinking and discussing on the issue of resumption of physical court hearings. 

The same was communicated when there was case hearing going on between two advocates who requested the judges to hear the matter in person in the court and not via video conferencing which is preferred in these unprecedented times of global pandemic. 

The 7-judge committee shall be headed by Justice NV Ramana in order to decide whether it would be  viable to resume the physical court hearings when the virus is at its peak in the country.
