-Office of Former CJI Justice TS Thakur.

Justice T. S. Thakur was the 43ʳᵈ Chief Justice of India.

- 4 weeks

 

How did you apply and secure an internship? 

-Through personal contact of one of my friend                     

 

What are the core areas of law dealt in the organisation?

-Arbitration laws

 

What were the tasks mainly assigned to you?

-Main tasks involve pondering over the cases and then reflect on the issues so framed. We had seen the other side of the process. Like most of the time, we work with lawyers who handle the arbitration or matters of the Court so we can only see one side. But here we have to analyse the arguments of both the sides and then provide your opinion to Thakur Sir with your reasoning.

 

How comfortable was the work environment of the office?

-The work environment was great, it involved not only law but lessons that will be cherished lifelong.

 

Were there any specific breaks?

- The break is on you, when you want it, you would get it. Sir once said it is a Fundamental Right , how can we deny it.

 

Did you visit Courts?

-There were no court visits but visits to arbitration proceedings and you can just imagine the feeling of entering a 5 star Hotel Meeting Room with former CJI.

Were you provided with Stipend?

- There was no stipend, but the learning and experience is all that matters. Thakur Sir once said that it is not just a place to learn law, that you can do in college and by your own, but there are many life lessons and experiences that you must take away.

 

Things that could be improved at the organisation?

-The thing that needs to be improved is that just don’t limit your horizons, just explore what you love or what you fear. The world is very uncertain and it brings beautiful experiences.

 

What was the most suitable accommodation?

-The accommodation is on you that how you manage. You can find good PGs in the vicinity there.
